As the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES 2024), one of the UAE’s premier gathering for the real estate industry, concluded closing deals that surpassed Dhs 1.4 billion, one of the exhibition’s participants – the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) – came out as a top performer, contributing over Dhs 177 million to the total sales made on during the 4-day event that ran from January 17 – 20 in Expo Centre Sharjah.

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has been continuously boosting Sharjah’s global investment appeal with revolutionary projects like Sharjah Sustainable City, which is a joint venture between “Shurooq” and the prestigious Diamond Developers. At ACRES 2024 Shurooq showcased phase 4 of this net zero mixed-use development, selling and reserving 42 units that are valued at Dhs 102.5 million.

Another visionary residential project “Shurooq” showcased at the exhibition is ‘Ajwan’, which is being developed in the picturesque coastal town of Khorfakkan in the eastern region of Sharjah.

The promise of affordable seaside luxury was a resounding success at ACRES, with Shurooq selling and reserving 32 units totalling Dhs 74.1 million in value. Scheduled for completion in 2024, the luxury 5-star hospitality project, operating under the Autograph Collection by Marriott International and built on 38,000 sqm opposite the Khorfakkan port, will feature 75 deluxe units, pools, restaurants, and a ballroom for special occasions.

The proposed rooms include 62 single rooms, 5 double rooms, and 8 luxury suites offering stunning views of the Arabian Sea and offers unparalleled luxury for visitors to the tranquil eastern enclave.

Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), revealed details of the project currently under development, during a phone call to (Al Khat Al Mubasher) radio show on Wednesday (June 22).

The expansive project will also see the development of the first waterpark in the Eastern region of the emirate and caters to the ever-growing demand for tourism and leisure experiences in the East Coast.

Ahmed Al Qaseer pointed out that the project would also include more than 200 residential units which will be serviced by retail stores, restaurants and a host of other outlets on the ground level, adding that off-plan sales would commence with the announcement of a detailed overview of the project in the third quarter of the current year.

The Acting CEO noted that the project will be completed in 2024.

Shurooq’s new project follows the ongoing development of the nature-inspired LUX* Al Jabal Resort in Khorfakkan, located on the slopes of the spectacular Soueifa mountain, overlooking a beach.
